Social Skills

The Homestead’s social skills program teaches important and meaningful social skills through the use of teaching strategies based on applied behavior analysis and current research methodology.

The Homestead Hang Out Camp is a social skills group that meets across multiple days in a 1-2 week period, which allows for targeted social skills to be intensively taught and practiced. This group meets during winter break, spring break and summer break.

The Homestead Hang Out Club is a social skills group that meets one day a week for two consecutive months. This allows for follow up instruction to maintain skills that have been taught during camp, and to build deeper friendships based on interests.
