Speech and Language Therapy

The Homestead’s Speech and Language Therapy is uniquely designed to incorporate an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) approach to speech and language services in order to assist individuals with autism in their development as communicators. Speech and language therapy is individually tailored to help those with autism be successful in the areas of language, speech, fluency and the social use of language. The Homestead’s Speech and Language Therapy provides one-on-one, direct treatment and evaluations in the following areas: articulation, phonology, apraxia, fluency, receptive language, expressive language and pragmatic/social language.

This team is led by a licensed Speech Language Pathologist, specialized in working with individuals with autism, who works in collaboration with Board Certified Behavior Analysts to create and implement an individualized program to enable each child to use and develop effective communication and social skills.
